Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo announce the integration of their commercial activities in the USA effective October 1, 2009.

This integration will result in one face to our US customers. Integrated commercial teams under  joint management will provide you direct access to a seamless worldwide connection via our two hubs - Charles de Gaulle, Paris and Schiphol, Amsterdam. These activities will be coordinated with DL Cargo within the AF-KL-DL financial joint venture on North Atlantic routes.

Air France and KLM joined forces on May 5, 2004, resulting in "one group, two airlines, three businesses" (Passenger, Cargo and Maintenance). On October 1, 2005 Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo integrated their worldwide commercial activities creating one face to the market. However, the USA market was an exception to this integration due to antitrust restrictions. Now that these restrictions have been lifted, we are ready to integrate the Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo commercial activities in the USA.

Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo have been on the forefront of transporting and handling a variety of cargo types. Building on this experience, AF-KL Cargo offers a wide range of products and services as well as an extensive network with more than 400 destinations to meet the specific transportation needs of our customers. AF-KL Cargo is on the forefront of many industry innovations, such as e-freight - paperless airfreight - and developing e-tools that give customers 24/7 access to our services. We are pleased that we will soon be able to offer these  benefits to our US customers.

Until October 1, 2009, there will be no changes in the existing Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo day to day business activities. In the coming weeks we will provide you with further details of the integration.
